Miles Davis & Michel LeGrand - Dingo: Selections From The Motion Picture Soundtrack LP

A remarkable collaboration from the final chapter of Miles Davis' extraordinary career.

More than three decades after their celebrated collaboration on Legrand Jazz, Miles Davis reunited with French composer and arranger Michel Legrand to create the soundtrack for Dingo, the 1991 album accompanying the film directed by Rolf de Heer.

In the film, Miles portrays Billy Cross, a legendary jazz trumpeter whose unexpected performance in the Australian outback inspires a young musician to follow his own path. The soundtrack brings that story to life, moving between expressive jazz improvisation, richly arranged cinematic passages, and the unmistakable sound of Miles' trumpet.

From the swinging energy of "Concert on the Runway" to the atmospheric beauty of "The Dream" and the spirited interplay of "The Jam Session," Dingo captures an artist who remained creatively restless throughout his life.

Originally released in 1991, Dingo stands among Miles Davis' final completed recording projects and offers a distinctive glimpse into his enduring musical partnership with Michel Legrand.
